Workshop by Margot Kersing at Seminar Gemeente Rotterdam

On 25 June 2024, Margot Kersing (Erasmus University Rotterdam) led an insightful workshop during the WI Seminar from Gemeente Rotterdam. The session, titled "The Impact of Dashboards and Data-Driven Service Delivery on Caseworkers and Welfare Recipients", focused on how digital tools like dashboards influence the work of caseworkers and the experiences of welfare recipients.

Margot’s research highlights critical issues around efficiency, equity, and the human element in social services. The workshop centred around the implications of data-driven tools in welfare systems, raising important questions about their role in creating a more inclusive and effective welfare state.

The seminar brought together professionals and researchers to explore the future of public administration and data-driven governance. Margot’s workshop was a valuable contribution to these conversations, emphasising the importance of ethical and thoughtful integration of digital tools in welfare systems.
